Walking into Mosswood Park on Friday July 17th for the Mosswood Meltdown 2026 pre-show with Pavement headlining, southern country shoegaze outfit Wednesday, and the Vivian Girls reuniting- it hit me that this was just a rebranded third day of the Mosswood Meltdown festival. Clever.  See our Mosswood Meltdown 2026 video recap HERE Total Trash Productions has found a winning formula with this storied bay-area festival in Oakland. They have been able to survive the rebrand from Burger Boogaloo, a pandemic and the infinite source of power only knows what other things it takes to keep an independent music festival going through world trauma.  Through all that, Mosswood Meltdown still find tweaks that feel like upgrades to the psyche.   related: Burger Boogaloo 2016- Bringing Rare Vinyl Back To Life for 7 Years There are NEVER any huge surprises among the headliner announcements- just excitement.   With Bikini Kill reforming for their date with Mosswood Meltdown, the writing was on the wall with Kathleen Hanna co-headlining last year with Kim Gordon.  Iggy Pop headlines every other year.  There is no logical or tangible reason that it feels to me that Mosswood Meltdown just keeps getting better but there was something about this year
